What we do

What we do

Peer to Peer Support, Trainings, Individual and Systems Advocacy, Free Alternative Healing, Employment Support

Peer to Peer Support

At the heart of the Wildflower Alliance’s work are peer-to-peer supports. This means coming together as regular people who have “been there” ourselves, and exploring whatever people are struggling with, side-by-side.

Trainings

The Wildflower Alliance training team is available to share wisdom from our decades of experience in peer support, advocacy, and education.

Individual and Systems Advocacy

We advocate alongside people seeking to have their needs met and rights respected by the systems they are involved with including housing, treatment, basic needs, and other supports, and stand firmly against the use of force, coercion, restraint, seclusion, and other forms of violence in “treatment” and “rehabilitation” settings.

Free Alternative Healing Practices

The Wildflower Alliance makes yoga classes, art groups, acupuncture, and other practices that can be very healing but are not covered by health insurance available at our community.

Employment Support

The Wildflower Alliance partners with people to look for resources, explore and try out new ideas, and develop related skills.  Sometimes these activities occur through more formal groups and workshops, and other times they happen through individual peer-to-peer support and connections made in community.
