On Monday, August 8th, Sera Davidow and Johnna Bossuout from the Western Mass RLC – along with Lorena Norwood from the Greenfield Women’s Resource Center – appeared on 22 News’s Mass Appeal to talk about body image and eating disorders. At 7 1/2 months pregnant, it was a particularly important experience for Sera who shared that one of her hopes for her soon-to-be-born daughter is that she can support her to have a life where she feels comfortable in her own skin and doesn’t have to experience the pain and self-hatred that so many men and women do.
The appearance was also a great opportunity to talk about the support group being offered through the RLC co-facilitated by Johnna and Don Wentworth and a ‘Women’s Relationship to Nourishment and Body Image” group offered by the Greenfield Women’s Center.
