Help Needed with Senate!

May 14, 2015

Last month, we were thrilled when the Massachusetts House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee fully restored the RLC budget.

However, the Senate Ways & Means Committee just released their proposal, and they are suggesting cuts to the RLCs of $409,000. While this is much better than the Governor’s proposed 1.7 million cuts, it still would have major impact on our small budgets.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!

Fortunately, Senator Lewis has agreed to propose an amendment that fully restores the RLC budget in the Senates proposal. However, that amendment is due by 5pm today (May 14, 2015), and we need as many Senators to co-sponsor as possible. Although Senators can still sign-on as co-sponsors for a few more days after today, it is STRONG PREFERABLE for them to do so today to ensure they actually appear on the amendment document.

PLEASE CALL YOUR MASSACHUSETTS STATE SENATOR TODAY AND ASK THEM TO CO-SPONSOR SENATOR LEWIS’S PROPOSAL!
