Group Facilitation Training On-Line

January 8, 2021 @ 1:00 pm 5:00 pm

TRAINING DATES AND TIMES:  Dates for the training are scheduled for Fridays, January 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th, 1pm to 5pm Eastern. Reading homework may be assigned ahead of time and/or during the class. Attendance at all 4 sessions is required to complete the training.

The Western Mass RLC will be bringing it’s Group Facilitation 2-Day Training on-line at the start of the New Year. Often, we focus on trainings that require someone to already hold some facilitation experience and skills (Alternatives to Suicide, Hearing Voices). This can leave out those who have not had that opportunity yet. Here’s a chance to build some of those skills, and get more prepared for facilitating peer support groups of any kind.

What you will learn:
The difference between peer-to-peer groups and other kinds of groups
Navigating challenging moments in groups
And more with ample time to practice!

Space is limited. Application required by Friday, November 20.

Free – $150 COST: We offer many trainings for free, and try our best to keep any ones that we charge for as low cost as possible. In the case of our on-line classes, we are requesting a few as follows: $150 for people who are based OUTSIDE of Massachusetts, and have an organization that is able to pay for their spot. $100 for people who are based INSIDE of Massachusetts and have an organization that is able to pay for their spot. $50 for people who do not have an organization that is able to pay, but who are able to pay for themselves. $20 for students and others with lower income. $0 for people who have low or no income, and no organization to assist them in paying. These fees help cover trainer time, including the time needed to adapt in person trainings to an on-line format.
